Denbighshire Archives and Ruthin Gaol Museum have been successfully shortlisted as finalists to win an event worth over £2000 to take part in the national ‘Museums at Night 2014’ festival of arts, culture and heritage. Winning this competition means that we are in with a chance of winning an event led by top artist, Mr Kelvyn Smith, to create a modern artistic archive inspired by Ruthin Gaol and the local community.
The public vote will decide who wins and we have some stiff competition to beat! We are against two London venues (William Morris Gallery and The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising) and one Leeds venue (Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery). This is the first time any Welsh venues have been shortlisted in this Culture 24 competition, so we really need your vote to bring this event to Wales!
Voting opens at 11am on Tuesday 14th January 2014 and closes at 5pm Tuesday 28th January 2014
