Tithe Maps are now available on our website!

Some of our regular website visitors may have noticed a welcome addition to our online map viewer- an additional Tithe Map Layer created by The National Library of Wales during the Cynefin Project. Never has it been so easy to find a place of interest on a tithe map!

You can access the Tithe Map Layer by following these simple steps-

  1. Go to our main website and select Maps from the top menu

  1. Alternatively, you can find a place of interest on the modern satellite view first and then change the layer. You can use the fading tool to move from the modern satellite map to the tithe map to show change over time.

The Tithe Map Layer doesn’t include the apportionment details on our website but you can view these by visiting the National Library Places.Library.Wales website or using the microfilm copy at our office.
